Cool your home in summer

Powerful cooling that holds a steady temperature through the hottest weeks, room by room.

Heat your home in winter

The same unit runs in reverse as an air source heat pump, working efficiently even in low outdoor temperatures.

Lower running costs than electric heaters

Moving heat costs far less than generating it, so shoulder-season heating is cheaper than plug-in electric.

Modern air conditioning is not just for hot weather. Today's heat pump systems provide efficient heating during winter whilst keeping your home cool during summer, helping reduce your overall energy costs.

Residential Air Conditioning Installation in Norfolk

We install fixed air conditioning systems for Norfolk homes, including bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and garden rooms. A properly sized unit can cool in summer, heat in winter and reduce humidity without the noise and inefficiency of a portable unit.

Norfolk installation prices

Single-room systems start from £1,495 including VAT and installation. The final quote includes the equipment, pipework, electrical requirements, drainage, access and commissioning, so you can compare quotations fairly.

One unit or several?

A single-split unit is usually best for one bedroom, office or living room. Multi-split systems connect several indoor units to one outdoor condenser and can offer better value when multiple rooms need heating and cooling.

Installation near you

We cover Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and surrounding Norfolk towns and villages. Every installation is surveyed, sized, tested and handed over by F-Gas certified engineers.

Save More When You Install Multiple Units

The majority of the installation cost is in labour and setup.

Installing multiple indoor units during the same visit significantly reduces the cost per room.

Frequently Asked Questions

A single-room domestic wall-mounted system starts from £1,495 including VAT and professional installation. The final price depends on room size, the distance between the indoor and outdoor units, access, electrical work, drainage and the system you choose. Multi-room installations can reduce the average cost per room because labour and setup are shared.

Yes. We install domestic air conditioning for bedrooms, living rooms, home offices, garden rooms and other residential spaces. Systems can provide cooling, heating and dehumidification, with single-room and multi-room options available across Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Norfolk.

There is no single best system for every home. The right option depends on the room size, insulation, glazing, noise preference, heating requirements, budget and whether you need one room or several zones. We compare suitable systems from the brands we install and recommend one based on the property rather than choosing by brand name alone.

Yes. We provide domestic air conditioning installation in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and across Norfolk. Our F-Gas certified engineers carry out a survey, recommend suitable equipment, provide a written quotation and complete testing and commissioning after installation.

Most homes need either a single-split system for one room or a multi-split system for several rooms. A ducted system may suit a larger property or a new build. We assess the heat load, room layout, outdoor-unit position, pipework route and controls before recommending the right unit size.

No. We install and service fixed domestic and light-commercial air conditioning systems, not vehicle air conditioning. For car air conditioning re-gassing or repairs, please contact a Norwich garage or automotive air-conditioning specialist.

Boiler Point covers Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and surrounding Norfolk areas. We provide fixed written quotations, F-Gas certified installation, manufacturer warranty support and a clear handover after commissioning. Call 01493 295 064 with your postcode to confirm availability.

Yes. Modern air conditioning is an air source heat pump — it moves heat rather than generating it, and it runs in both directions. In winter it extracts warmth from the outside air and delivers it indoors, working efficiently even at low outdoor temperatures. Many customers use it as their main heating through spring and autumn and leave the boiler for deep winter.

A typical modern system delivers around three to four units of heating or cooling for every unit of electricity it draws. In practice a bedroom unit costs roughly 15p to 30p an hour to run depending on the setting and your tariff — far less than a plug-in electric heater doing the same job.

A single-room installation is usually done in a day. Two or three rooms typically take two days. We agree the routes for pipework and the position of the outdoor unit with you before we start, so there are no surprises once the work is under way.

For most homes, no — domestic air conditioning normally falls under permitted development provided the outdoor unit meets the size, siting and noise conditions. Listed buildings, conservation areas and flats are the usual exceptions. We check this during the survey and tell you before anything is booked.

We install Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Samsung and LG. Which one we recommend depends on the room, the noise level you want and your budget — the premium Japanese units are quieter and more efficient, but they are not necessary in every room.

On most systems, yes. WiFi control comes as standard on our Comfort and Signature packages and is an option on Essential. It lets you set schedules, adjust the temperature before you get home, and see what the system is using.

Once a year. An annual service keeps the filters and coils clean, checks the refrigerant charge, and keeps your manufacturer warranty valid. A neglected system loses efficiency quietly and costs more to run long before it actually breaks down.

Modern indoor units run at around 19 to 25 decibels on their lowest setting, which is quieter than a whisper and well below the level that disturbs sleep. The outdoor unit is louder but sits outside; we position it with noise limits and your neighbours in mind.

It depends on the room volume, how much glazing it has, which way it faces and how well insulated it is. Undersized units run flat out and never quite get there; oversized ones short-cycle and waste energy. We size each room properly during the survey rather than guessing from floor area alone.
